Defeating Instant Gratification: The Fight for Your Future

In Week Four of Kingdom Economics, we ask a defining question: how do you leave a lasting legacy according to God’s plan? Jesus warns that financial stress, greed, and envy can choke out what truly matters, pulling our hearts toward short-term gain instead of eternal impact (Mark 4:18–19). This message reframes legacy through God’s heart and timeline, pointing to Abram’s calling to be blessed so he could be a blessing to others (Genesis 12:1–3). Scripture reminds us that a God-honoring legacy is built with generational vision, planting seeds today that others may one day harvest (Psalm 78; Psalm 22). Legacy isn’t just what we leave behind—it’s what we set in motion when we invest our time, energy, and resources with eternity in mind.
